At TU Eindhoven I followed a course called Design For Behavioural Change. The design case in this course, was to somehow help people to get rid of bad habits. My group and I came up with the Sparkle concept, which was a theoretical reflection on how an alarm clock could potentially help people get more sleep. The basic idea was to let people anonymously ‘offload’ their worries to the alarm clock before going to sleep, so they should not have to lie worrying about their everyday struggles.
